Job Summary

We are constantly looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our fantastic team, who are wishing to pick up temp agency shifts as and when they are available.

We are a year round busy agency providing temporary staffing solutions to a large number of clients based in the Hampshire/Dorset/Wiltshire regions who use our services based on the quality of staff that we provide to them and also the backup service we offer to both client and candidates alike from the Everest office team.

This is one of the main jobs we supply staff for, and one of the most important jobs in the welfare of residents in homes. The relationships built between healthcare assistants and residents can help to improve the lives of the latter, and offer hard but rewarding work for the former. Within these roles, you will be responsible for the care of residents on a day to day basis and offer the highest level of quality care and professionalism. Responsibility for the welfare of the residents in your care is paramount and something we at Everest Recruitment take very seriously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high standards of quality care to the residents at all times
  • Becoming part of the care homes team
  • Adhere to the client’s policies and procedures while working at their homes
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records and reports, including care plans
  • Report any concerns you may have to the home’s Nurses or Management

Benefits

We will provide you with all the tools you need to do your job (including free uniform and training.) Shifts will be offered to you based on your individual availability and is purely down to you as to what you wish to commit to. We can provide full-time or part-time working hours, on a temporary and flexible basis.

Our pay rates vary based on the days of the shifts covered and level of training completed. When we employ our staff we enroll them in our PAYE (Pay As You Earn) system, alongside being paid your hourly rate you also accrue holiday pay and are entitled to sick and maternity/paternity pay.

If you wish to be paid via UMBRELLA we can do so but we only accept ones on our preffered supplier list. We will not pay into a Limited Company.

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum criteria: 

  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience as a healthcare assistant in UK Care/Nursing homes

  • Proof of Right to work in the UK

  • Excellent communication skills

Note: Your employment is subject to the receipt of satisfactory job references plus an enhanced + barred DBS check.

Experience

Currently studying Computing & IT at the OU.

6 years experience in the Care & Support Work Sector.

2 years experience in Hospitality and Retail

Experience

2 years experience in Healthcare Recruitment 

7 years of customer service experience, working on a Customer Service Desk and as a Team Leader.

Dealing with queries and complaints including colleague Management & Care.

Experience

16 years of working in the recruitment sector focusing in permanent recruitment across a variety of divisions together with over 5 years experience in Office Management and HR within the same sector.

10 years experience for recruiting for the care sector.

20 years experience in business development.

Business owner of over 10 years.

Experience

2 years experience in Healthcare Recruitment 

6 years experience in the Care Sector as a HCA

3 years experience in Customer service

Holds NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Experience

18 years of working in the recruitment sector covering both the temporary and permanent placements
